Canoeing in Singapore

In Singapore canoeing is a great sport. You can enjoy a lot in canoeing if you have the guts to do so. The Singapore Canoe Federation or SCF is the National Sports Association i.e. NSA. This is actually responsible for the coordination, management, development and promotion of canoeing and also kayaking in Singapore. Kayakling is another sport which attracts a lot of visitors in Singapore. Canoeing is a great art. It represents the interest of its athletes. The members to the Singapore National Olympic Committee, Singapore Sports Council, other international canoeing bodies, and the public are also very interested about the whole thing.

The Singapore Rowing Association i.e. SARA is the National Sports Association. It promotes sport of rowing. It also regulates, coordinates, and advises on administrative matters relating to the sport of rowing in Singapore. The interest of the athletes and members to Singapore National Olympic Committee, the Singapore Sports Council, other international canoeing bodies, and the public can be seen.

The sports council of Singapore is very active and it always promotes different types of sports. The people of the country are also very enthusiastic. They play different types of sports here. The Singapore Dragon Boat Association i.e. SDBA is the National Sports Association i.e. NSA that promotes, organizes and co-ordinates all dragon boat activities in Singapore. The SDBA is a member of the International Dragon Boat Federation. It is recognized worldwide as the world governing body for the sport of Dragon Boat Racing.

SDBA’s operations centre is situated at the Kallang Water Sports Centre. The address is No. 10 Stadium Lane. This is open every day from 10:00am.-6:00pm. The exceptions are Mondays and other public holidays. Dragon boat and canoe equipment i.e. rudders, boats, paddles, bailers and life-vests can be hired from SDBA.
